On the morning of day two breakfasts is served in the dining room, before you play Golf de Lacanau just on your door step. This 6519yrd par 72 course is a charming course tucked away in the pines, offering memorable holes and a high standard of course maintenance. With the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop and the pine forests that shade the course from the summer sun, the golf course is spectacular with its array of pleasant surroundings.

With the game complete, there’s time for lunch before you head North through upto the world famous wine estates of Bordeaux to the Médoc peninsula, arriving at Château Preuillac. Set in 30 hectares of gravel hilltops and run in the purest Médoc tradition, Château Preuillac is a Médoc Cru Bourgeois and boasts a unique wine ‘school’, to which enthusiasts and professionals from all over the world come to improve their knowledge of wine and the art of tasting.

The Vintage Golf Company has an exclusive relationship with Château Preuillac, and we are able to offer you a unique ‘Visit, Tasting’ experience that will give you an insight into Château Preuillac’s traditional processes and a chance to taste some fantastic regional wines, including those produced on the Preuillac estate itself .This is followed by a tour of this fine Cru Bourgeois estate.

Back at Lacanau, dinner will be served in the hotel. We recommend an early reservation and a trip into the lively beach town; here the streets are lined with bars for those who wish to enjoy the nightlife on offer.
