After touching down in Bordeaux in the late morning you will be chauffeured straight to Golf de Pessac for a leisurely lunch in the excellent club-house restaurant. This could be your first chance to sample a classic red Graves or taste a Cru Classé from the neighbouring Pessac-Léognan area. Don’t drink too much though, as the 6625-yard course lies in wait. The course itself is a charming and scenic Par 72, characterised by the towering pines that line its broad fairways.
After the final putts have been holed we will chauffeur you through Bordeaux’s famous vineyards to Château Preuillac. Set in 30 hectares of gravel hilltops and run in the purest Médoc tradition, Château Preuillac is a Médoc Cru Bourgeois. Famous for its magnificent large oak barrels and the powerful, well-structured wines they produce, the picturesque Château, nestled among rolling vineyards, and with a pretty spring running beneath the old winery, oozes character.
You will stay in the luxurious and individually decorated rooms in the Château itself, with a gastronomic banquet each evening laid on in the Châteaux dining room; with wines selected by the sommelier to compliment each dish.
