A full day of golf. You will be picked up from the hotel and chauffeured to Golf du Médoc, Bordeaux’s finest golf club. In the morning we would suggest you play “Châteaux” course a 6496 -yard course. Widely recognised as one of Europe’s very best courses, it is a championship course and a host to the European tour. Bordered by heather and gorse, it has been designed with the Scottish links tradition in mind. The greens are fast; the Atlantic winds a constant challenge, and the course layout a real test for any player. After 18 holes in the morning the Golf du Médoc clubhouse, a natural timber and glass structure set in the middle of the course, is a great setting for a delicious 4 course lunch from the restaurant’s traditional French menu and a glass of fine Médoc wine.
After lunch you can play (if you choose to) the “Les Vignes”, a beautiful and well-crafted 6842-yard par 71 set in a typical regional landscape. The fairways are relatively generous, but the long par fives, with cleverly designed greens and judiciously situated bunkers, will offer a stern test to even the most experienced of golfers.
